The Institute of Healing Racial Trauma
In 2018, TRC, a mental health clinic, was established to address a pressing need. By 2020, another need became evident: the necessity for affordable, culturally competent therapy catering to BiPoC and their allies affected by racial trauma, both directly and indirectly. This demand extended beyond therapy alone; there was also a call for education, both for those experiencing the effects of racial trauma and for allies seeking to support impacted communities.
It was during this time that Gary and Brittney, grappling with their own compounded racial trauma, recognized the imperative of pursuing healing. Through therapy, engagement with spiritual communities, and ongoing education, they embarked on their journey towards healing.
The work must continue. But the donations to the for profit have dissolved. In order to continue the work in the community, iHRT was established.
Every contribution helps us create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.
Thank you for considering supporting our cause.
